The Life of Binary
In the beginning, there was 0; but all of a sudden, there was 1. 1 got lonely, and thus, 10. 10 decided to make a friend, thus 11. 11 were happy, until 1 decided to move on, and became 100. Once again, 100 was lonely, so it made another friend, and became 101. 1 decided was in love with 100, and they both became 110. 110 had a child, and they all became a happy family, 111.    So 100 decided to...

My Weekly Rant #1
It’s been a long time since I’ve actually posted up a review; lately, I’ve just been showing off screens, videos, and talking about flooded Wal Marts, but now, in the (rather late) spirit of Christmas (or ‘the holidays’ for you sensitive types), I’m finally able to bring about my weekly rant. For some reason, me and Shawn have been unable to do the weekly rant...

Flood Attack!
Soory, I don’t mean those spooky perasites from the Halo series, I mean that it’s flooded here like mad. There are supposed to be record high flood levels, too! Oh boy. Safeway is getting record business because the Wal*Mart and K-Mart near by are closed down for some reason, and everyone’s stocking up for the flood. By the way, if you happen to be in Washington State, drop by...

Personal Blog 11/18 - Crossing the Line...
There comes a time when advertising, as the title suggests, crosses the line between annoying and flat-out retarded. Companies and products like like Mountain Dew, with it’s recent “DEWmocracy” ad campaign, and Doritos, which is planning on making an Xbox Live Arcade game about chips, are doing back-flips over that line. Mountain Dew’s “DEWmocracy” thing could...

A Personal Blog - 11/10 (Gauitr Hreo)
Welcome to the weekly ‘personal blog’ I’m going to start putting up… weekly. It’s time to take a brake from gaming and general Geekiness and make it a standard blog on a weekly basis. ———————————————-    You know, as much as I love the idea of people being able to play near any...

2007 - The Best Year in Gaming?
Even though every year, people say it’s the best year in gaming, I believe that 2007 might just take the cake. Why? Oh, I can think of at least 40 reasons why. I present to you, Hollohill’s 40 great games of 2007 (in no particular). Seriously, there are too many!...

Episode 3: Autumm - Chapter 3
Cold, dark, dank, and depressing. This was the place. This was where the Holy Spirit rebel base was located. “Why did they have to pick out the most unpleasant shit hole to put their goddamn base in?” exclaimed Evan.    “Quiet, Spartan,” said Anne. “We have a long day’s work ahead of us.” The Spartans stood their on a large cliff inside of a gigantic cavern.    Evan kneeled down, took out...

Godlike Potential
I just found out about Youtubes new “multi-video upload” thing, which lets you upload up to a gig of video. This is a big thing, considering how much bigger 1 gig is from the standard 100 mb upload limit. I also have a directors account from a year ago, which removes the limit on time as well. With these powers, I could potentially upload an entire movie on youtube, all in one video....

Episode 3: Autumm - Chapter 2
“Where are they?” asked the rebel Elite. “Where are the rest of your… team?” “What do ya mean?” replied Victor, out of breath. “You can’t find ‘em yourself?” “Regrettably, no,” replied the Elite. “You’re equipment is insufficient for our needs. We cannot track them. Tell us where they are, heretics!” The Spartans had been stripped of their armor, tied up together inside of a tent, a few...

Episode 3: Autumm - Chapter 1
“Humid, dark, and slimy,” said Evan, the team’s sniper. “Just how I like it.” After getting off of the Pelican dropship, all of the Spartans stood their and looked at their surroundings. It was said that within the dense jungle, there was a crevasse somewhere hidden in it, and it supposedly the main chapter of the powerful rebellion force, the Holy Spirit, was in there. “This is as close as...

Half-Life 2: Episode 1
Since Half Life 2 is about 3 years old, and has therefore already been played by anyone who even knows the definition of the word game, I’m going to skip right ahead to reviewing Half Life 2: Episode 1.    You start off the game with a nice view of the inside of a pile of rubble, when Dog,  your faithful companion and giant robotic gorilla thing picks you up out of the dirt and...

Portal - Teh Mini Review
When you start the game up, you’re welcomed by the sound of cheesy radio music. As you, subject [too many numbers to recall], wake up, you find yourself in a glass room, and so on. In the first real level, you’re don’t actually have the portal gun yet. In fact, you’re not in control of both portals for about 11 levels. Anyway, this...

OMG, new theme! :D
Well, the new blog theme is in place. If it isn’t completely done, it’s at least 98% done (there might be some bugs I don’t know about). I like to think of it as the “Bungie” theme…

Untitled Project...
Introduction    After the war between man and Covenant had ended, and an alliance formed, society started to rebuild. Much destruction had come about, many had been killed, and Heroes were lost in to the emptiness of space.    Stories were told of great battles, titans against millions of foes, slaying them all with ease. Some even recorded these events from memory.    The following notes,...

The Orange Box (prepare yourself)
First of all, the reason I’ve suddenly decided to review video games now is because A. I’m really bored, and B. The Halo 3 hype has just ended, and I’m on a role.    Anyway, back to whatever I was supposed to be talking about. Just to give you the heads up, I’ll be reviewing the Orange Box, and I’ll do so in different segments (one for each game). I look forward to...

Halo 3: Teh Epic Review (for realz this time!)
Well, after a long wait, I was finally able to type up the Halo 3 review (some of) you (may) have been waiting for. So I present to you, this thing…  In a word, Halo 3 is big, really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind bogglingly big it is, and so on. Upon starting Halo 3’s singleplayer, I was pumped and ready to go for the final installment of the (probably) award winning...

Episode 1: Winter
As the group of 7 Spartans walked along the snowy tundra once known as New York city, they felt the cold air rush through their lungs. They were sent on a mission to eliminate the Shangheili rebellion that fought hard against the Human/Shangheili alliance. The leader of the one of three chapters of the rebellion force, known as The Holy Spirit, was supposedly held up here in cowardice. This...

Halo 3: It's a hype machine!
First of all, we all know Halo 3 will probably be the best game to release this year, or any close years to come, and the game has a spectacular community around it. Moving on…   If you ever go to the Halo 3 forums and take a good look for about 12 seconds, you’d know that this game has been hyped, questioned, and humiliated beyond belief. Every 3rd post says “I can’t...

Dear Myspace: WTF?!
We all know know that Myspace is a “great” website with a huge community, but how do we know we can really trust that community? Well, according to the national board of my own fucking opinion, I’d have to say that 75% of your myspace friends are fake “hot chicks” that supply links to expensive pornography. Even the friends you actually know can’t really be...
